Minor Roads and Auras of Conviction Empty Minor Roads and Auras of Conviction

The core text in "Faith and Fire" is somewhat ambiguous on whether Cainites following a minor road get an aura of conviction, so I was wondering if there is any aura of conviction the "minor" roads.

For instance, in the section labeled "Aura of Conviction", the text reads:

Faith and Fire p. 93 wrote:Passionate belief and devotion to a road creates the confidence and certainty in a Cainite's chosen philosophy. this confidence is instinctively projected to some extent as an Aura of Conviction that others around the Cainite can sense and unconsciously react to. The greater the road rating is, the stronger an aura is projected.

Nothing in that passage suggests that this phenomenon is limited to Beast, Heaven, Humanity, Kings, and Sin. However, Faith and Fire has pretty scant treatment of the minor/clan-specific roads. It mentions some fluff text about them. It literally just says which clan each is associated with, and refers you to Laws of the Night for further details.

But, since Auras of Conviction aren't a thing in Modern Nights, when you go look up the paths there, they don't specify anything about them there.

One way to read the text is that only the major roads have auras of conviction, because those are the only ones for which auras are specified in the F&F rules. Another way to read the text is that F&F didn't adapt all of the minor/clan-specific roads to the Dark Medieval, and so, plausibly, the discussion quoted above is meant to be fully general about how all roads work, but STs would need to fill in the details on what the aura of conviction effect would be for Blood, Bones, Night, Metamorphosis, Paradox, or Serpent.

FWIW (which is not much, I am sure), I'm inclined to read it the latter way, because of how general the statements about aura of conviction are (nothing in that section seems to imply that the popularity of your ethos is playing a role in generating the aura, so much as just your dedication to/investment in it), but mostly it just reads like they clan-specific roads were a bit of an afterthought.

At the moment minor roads have no auras. ST's may try and to them at a later point in time, but as of right now only the roads and paths in F and F have auras.

Wouldn't the minor paths have the auras of their major roads? Ex: All the paths of Kings would get the aura of Command, Humanity the aura of normalcy, etc.

That's the paths on the major roads. There are minor roads (The Assamite road of Blood, the Cappadocian road of Bones, etc.), which aren't paths on the major roads. Those are what I am interested in.

The minor Roads have Auras listed in Dark Ages Storyteller's Companion. Faith & Fire says to reference it for medieval touches, so I would assume that F&F wants you to use those auras.

Road of blood has an Aura of resolve. Aura modifier affects willpower

Road of Bones has an Aura of silence, the modifier affects stealth"and attempts to go unnoticed".

Metamorphosis has an aura of inhumanity, the modifier affects intimidations and manipulation rolls that affect fear.

Road of night have an aura of Guilt and Remorse. Rolls affect any attempt to elicit dirty secrets from others, or inspire remorse in a sinner.

Paradox has confidence - modifiers to manipulate others

Serpent has Devotion modifier adds to converting others to their religion, and resist faith based powers.
