An Impromptu Court

[Etheldred]

*Letters and messengers will be sent to inform the Cainite denizens of Yorkshire that Baroness Sentia will be holding a short, informal court the following night. She will request that Court members and Elders in particular attend.*

Amaesia sits calmly with a book on her lap, and nods a greeting as Cainites arrive.

Father Molendinarious arrives, nodding respectfully to the Baroness. He waits patiently off to the side.

*Valencia walks in and quietly looks around. She nods a greeting to the father and clan mate. She approaches the prince and gives a graceful curtsy.*

Good evening your grace. I hope all is well. May I join you while we wait for others to arrive?

[Giric]

::Giric will arrive, and bowing respectfully to those present in turn, will take a position off to the side.::

"Of course. Is there a particular matter you wish to bring to my attention."

[CountessaValenciaMontalvo]

Not at this present time, Your Grace. Just taking my place at your side where I belong.

[Viscountess Evelynn]

*The Viscountess enters gracefully, curtsying before the Baroness before finding a comfortable seat. She crosses her legs properly and daintily pulls a fan from her sleeve.*

Now now, I haven't missed anything crucial, have I?

Not yet, my lady. We are still waiting for others to arrive.

[Viscountess Evelynn]

Ahh, very good.

[Domnal Boruma]

Domnall arrives, bowing his acknowledgment of the Baroness, and taking a seat

"In particular, we are waiting for Father Marius, and his ghoul."

[CountessaValenciaMontalvo]

I hope all is well.

[Guest]

After a few minutes of waiting, the door to the room the Prince has chosen opens and a Templar steps in, briefly surveying the room. He makes a gesture behind him, and another Templar walks in, accompanying the Ghoul in question, Thomas. Behind them enters the hooded form of Father Marius, barefoot as usual and bearing his massive bible.

He nods first to the Seneschal, then to the Prince, then to The Chamberlain.

"I am sorry for our late arrival, Your Grace, it was difficult to travel while keeping my Ghoul under guard."

The Templars take up flanking positions around the Ghoul, who remains silent, while Marius takes a seat on the floor somewhere off to the Prince's left.

Amasia nods. "Then we will start. For those of you that don't know, Thomas, Father Marius' ghoul, has been selling wine with Cainite blood in it in order to form a network of business allies. These allies include Landed Nobility, and Thomas actions violate domain. Father Marius has stated he was unaware of Thomas actions. Father Marius has stated that he will have Thomas punished appropriately, but that he admires his ingenuity and would like to embrace him. I told him I would give him his reply tonight. " She pauses. " I do agree that Thomas should be embraced, however as Father Marius has shown himself incapable of controlling his actions as a ghould, I am doubtful of his ability to control him as a childe. Therefore, I offer Thomas the opportunity to become my childe."

[Guest]

Marius stands.

"Your Grace, I would discuss this offer you have made with you in private before Thomas answers."

[CountessaValenciaMontalvo]

*Valencia leans over to speak softly*
Your Grace, if I may, briefly speak to Father Marius and Thomas?

[Etheldred]

Amaesia frowns.  "The offer was made to Thomas, not you.  However, the Seneschal and I can meet with you privately, if you wish." At the Countess' words she nods. "If that is preferable to them, of course."

[Guest]

Marius sighs.

"Your Grace, I will tell you now that my words are for your ears only and that you will likely want them to remain private, but if you wish your Seneschal to accompany us that is of course your prerogative. Additionally, Thomas is not needed at such a discussion."

[Etheldred]

"I do wish for her to accompany us." She stands, and leads the way up the stairs to a private room.

[Guest]

"Very well."

Marius follows.

[CountessaValenciaMontalvo]

* Valencia turns to Marius*
I'm sorry that you do not feel I should be aware of issues plaguing the Prince. Of course, as Thomas is still your ghoul as of now, it is your decision that he isn't present at a discussion that is determining his fate.

Marius shrugs, gesturing to the door.

"After you, My Lady."

[Thomas the Bastard]

*Thomas is thoroughly shocked. He can barely speak in the presence of such august nobility, and his shock, fear and confusion plainly show. As they leave for a private chat, he says, in a tiny voice, barely audible*

"I love my lord Marius, milady, with all my heart. Who can I serve, if not him?"

::Sigfried (Totally here the whole time, silly board timings) standing with an air of dignity, turns to Thomas as the others leave, an eyebrow raised in intrigue::

Ghoul, where did you get the blood? From what I understand it would require quite a bit of blood to accomplish what they say you have done. If your domitor was unaware of your actions, then I have to wonder. Where did the blood come from?

((entrancement would be thrown around here, but I hate on board tests etc. I don't care if the st's want to throw chops over it or what ever, but know that it would be used in this situation))

Amaesia returns to the court site. When she has everyone's attention, she speaks. "After further discusion with Father Marius, I have agreed to grant his request. However as repaymwnt for the difficulties he has caused, he will spend one night a week in my service, until such time as he is released fully into cainite society."
