As Aubrey approaches his robust steed, the magnificent animal actually drops to it's knees to allow for an easy mount. Aubrey does so carefully, and does not seem particularly comfortable in the saddle. In fact, he doesn't really seem to be making any effort to control the animal. Instead, he just leans down and whispers something to the lead (and largest) horse, a huge jet black Arabian Stallion.
The horse shakes out it's mane, "coincidentally" shaking off the grip of the guardsman holding it's reins, and stomps it's front hooves once. The guards before it scatter, and the other two horses shift uneasily.
When the other horses are mounted (the Ghoul has his own large warhorse, also apparently Ghouled), the ebony Arabian stallion leads the way to York Minster. They are followed by 10 mounted guards whose horses are scarcely able to keep pace, and 10 more on foot armed with halberds follow after.
